A Perfect Day as a foundation offers a platform for the combined drawing and text art. The idea for the scenography of the five annual exposition was to provide an environment in which exhibition, presentation, workshop, lecture, film, concert and party would take place simultaneously in the same space and inspire each other. An environment that thus offers space for unexpected encounters, spontaneity and improvisation. The core of the design is a sky blue and foam-colored piece of furniture as a back-drop for the hybrid program. An object constructed from a sea of pedestals on which you can exhibit, stand, sit and hold interviews, performances or workshops.
The exhibition is completely circular: the stacked pedestals painted in color are left over from previous exhibitions in the Eye-Film and Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, among others. The pedestals and walls are returned to the storage for subsequent reuse. In the small adjoining space, the shop furniture has been made from left over materials from the adjacent to be demolished ING building. The upcycled furniture has been saved by A Perfect Day for future use. With work from a.o. Guy Vording, John Körmeling, Kamagurka, Koos Busters, Miriam Elia, Olga Scholten, Paul Faassen en Rogier Roeters.
